On NOVEMBER 17, 2018 – The MACRO Museum in Rome announced the recognition of Ivana Belakova’s Tattoo art as Contemporary Fine Art. A stringent evaluation of the world’s contemporary tattoo artists was conducted by fine art critics and Ivana Belakova aka IVANA TATTOO ART became the FIRST and ONLY WOMEN in the world to be recognized as a Contemporary artist for her funky color and illustrative street style of tattooing. Her tattoos are now considered contemporary fine art and are listed in the museum’s catalog.
Ivana Tattoo Art is known worldwide for her unique brand of creativity. Ivana is a self taught artist who has been perfecting her style for the last 18 years. She has won multiple awards and has participated in some of the most prestigious international tattoo shows in the industry.
Her work has been displayed in various exhibitions and she has collaborated with several art schools internationally. She is also a gifted illustrator, clothing designer and photographer.
Her tattoos are positive, playful, beautiful, sometimes mischievous and always fun. Her style is innovative, sophisticated, and eclectic; a sexy mixture of multiple genres combining funky, bright colors and abstract elements with street style and high art.

“For this first collection, I wanted to create something that incorporated the fascination I had with animals as a child and my current illustrative colorful style.”
Ivana draws inspiration from her travels across the US and Europe. She works and lives in Long Beach, California where she owns her own tattoo studio IVANA TATTOO ART.
